I am on a limited income at almost 77 years of age. A friend I knew since we were kids on neighboring ranches asked if I was retired and I said, "No, just tired!"
Most of my life I was self employed in the horse, cattle, and leather business. Much of that income or business in various times was destroyed in some way by government or people with far more money than they needed that bought huge ranches to use for hunting.
A neighbor lady that was living on one of these ranches where her husband was a guide told me it cost about $60,000 there in total for a trophy elk hunt. They mostly hunt for the head to decorate their man cave. I have poorer friends begging to hunt for meat that can't find a hunting place they can afford. A cattle rancher uncle of mine used to let them hunt for $5.
Our State just wasted 12.5 million on building two roundabouts to solve a traffic problemccreated by a WalMart that could have been solved fo $20,000 and two signs.
I smell a rat of who lined their pockets here.

In reading the other comments, it seems that something has happened in Canada that I, in Colorado, don't know about. It seems to have been another serious example of the behavior of how the government treated the truckers. But here in the US, being aware of the situation of the sociopathic character of government officials, I am sincerely wondering - AND DO WHAT??? I write to congressmen and it's ignored, I am much too old to stand in the street with a sign of protest. Gather my apathetic neighbors who don't care one bit about anything but their own daily issues to try to get them to DO something also? Write a letter to the editor? What can I actually DO about this!!! Sure I can behave responsibly as an individual in my own life but I am pretty sure it really doesn't matter at all. I STILL can't get my own adult children to look at any alternative information about the pandemic. I feel pretty hopeless about this. I can only focus on the thoughts of spiritual awakening of humanity in the bigger picture now. Maybe it takes the horrific chaos to wake people up.

Even just "thinking about it" and holding truth in your heart is "doing something"...only catch to this way of getting engaged is that if fear, worry, or despair, enters in, it will negate the positive effect (sorry, that is the law of the universe!) To avoid this, link some sort of action with your thoughts...that concretizes the thought (the positive one) and keeps us from sensationalizing.

Not, just a few weeks ago, I guess all the data wasn't in, I read and reported ro a friend that Quebec took rhe prize for downward mobility -- then B.C. stole the crown!!!!

Lots of it is repetitive, but always from a different angle. And yes, as you say, it takes a lot of effort. Wish I would go viral so I wouldn't have to do anything else but write!!
The Satan thing is troublesome. People are intoxicated by power, and it does not surprise me that many people are actually using the symbols and all the "dressings" of Satanism...even if you don't believe in that stuff, it is still very troublesome that many of our leaders DO.

Yes ( all ) governments might be toxic but to coin my then four year old there is still “ the best of the worstes “ It is astonishing to me how many of the folks I know make such important voting decisions often based on , hair , looks , teeth, the opinions of their favourite CBC host etc. Most don’t take even a minute to un pack some of the “ verbiage “. Even a few minutes of reading , independent research would spark a shift in voting habits , sadly this does not happen . There are a few good apples out there , they are not hard to find if we apply some thought.

Recently, the building I live in developed an ant problem.
The apartment I live in recently had plumbing work done in the kitchen, and I assumed it was limited to my place, as a result of that work.
Therefore, I decided the problem was mine, aline, and one of "natural opportunism" -- the fundamental principle, in my mind, motivating and guiding existence -- and so decided to radically change my habits, and treat the kitchen like a military or hospital ship galley -- ship-shape, spick 'n' span -- eliminate opportunity, and, let the ant problem take care of itself, believing they'd give up.
It was an effective strategy, but weeks later, the odd one was still found to be at large.
Turns out the entire building had the problem, so an exterminator, using highly-effective, industrial, chemical pesticide, was called in to eliminate the problem.
You are correct, at least where I am, I live under a model of totalitarian, bureaucratic dictatorship -- Quebec.
It is clearly a criminal syndicate, preying upon opportunity.
To change it, it seems to me, we must take responsibility, and matters, into our own hands, and actually do something about it, starting within our immediate personal lives and environment, that's enough, right there.
Leave the organized, tactical maneuvers up to the trained experts.
We do have choices and behavioural options that will eliminate predators and parasites from our lives.

Yes, it is up to us, but possibly in a passive way. Unless we are willing to have an out-and-out revolution, the change may have to be slow and steady. Of course, if Trump is not elected in the states, the whole "vote tampering" thing will come up again and I think it will be a pretty ugly situation. The powers that be do not want Trump as POTUS...and probably want Biden again if he is still alive...so that could be the trigger for something pretty big.

Yes, this is so true. And of course, it is intended to be that way. The agenda can always manipulate hair, teeth, age, etc. to bring into power their selection.
