Years ago, there was a Star Trek:The Next Generation episode in which the entire crew became addicted to a computer game. Everyone but the doctor’s son. And he went about trying to figure out what he had to do to get them out of the game and back to reality.

Years later, my teenagers made me watch those Matrix movies.

I have a friend who says if you want to know what’s coming, just watch Hollywood. So I watched as video games became addictive. And I watched as the high schools dropped Animal Farm and Brave New World and 1984 from required reading. And I watched as the government pretended that they weren’t creating inflation and wars and systemic illness with their policies. And now I’m watching as the population is being required to pretend that mental illness is reality.

So we have been warned.

As I understand Todd, you are psychotherapist? If you are, I feel sorry for you and for your profession.

How can people be healed when the reality itself has gone mad.
