First of all, my heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of those who have paid to subscribe to the full featured Shrew Views substack. I see paid subscriptions more as a gesture of support than I do as a “subscription” for services. These days it is really the only way to keep independent journalism alive. I do give my paid subscribers twice the articles plus audio on some (T-shirts and pins coming!), but that is more of a wave of thanks than it is a product that you have to pay for. Thank you all for subscribing. I know there is a lot out there to donate your hard earned money to, and the fact that you choose Shrew Views as one of your choices to support means an awful lot. Thank you.
For those of you who are not yet paid subscribers could you consider becoming so? Yearly, monthly, or even a direct donation (through Ko-fi…the link at the bottom of every article) would be most appreciated. Remember, you can always do a 7 day trial! If you still decide not to subscribe could you share an article here and there on your social media, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram…or whatever? Could you email an article to friends and family? Anything you could do to get this out in front of more people the better. I am trying to build a community here, and of course the more the merrier.
Speaking of community…those who have been commenting regularly, my sincere thanks go out to you as well. I have found the comments to be absolutely amazing!! Wow…I really never did expect such insight, information, intelligence, and heart from all of you out there!! It is the primary purpose of starting this substack: To get people to contribute, and to share with one another, thoughts, ideas, and support. Please keep it up! And for those who have not yet made a comment…how wonderful it would be to hear from you! Keep the conversations going…it really is a very important part of what we need to keep us sane.
Writing two or three articles a week is not all that easy. It is time consuming, and wracks my often feeble brain. I love doing it, so there is no problem there. And yes, I DO have a job, and do indeed make money from that job. Your financial support is not intended to pay me a salary. But I do have to be honest, if I can’t find a way to at least partially subsidize my time spent writing for this as much as I do, I will have to cut back or give it up altogether. That is just the reality of it. I would love to do this more full time.
And if you just can’t make a donation in a paid subscription, all is good!! You are ALL an incredibly important part of the cause. All shrews are welcome and honoured. Please say hello, contribute by sharing everywhere and making comments when you can!

Dear Todd, I first heard of you a few days ago, immediately joined your Substack, decided a few posts later to contribute $. There are a lot of very good ones out there, and I now spend all of my reading time on Substack (I was an avid reader pre Covid and can’t finish a book any longer), but I feel I have found my home with your lovely gang of shrews. I’m reading a number of your previous posts and would want to comment on so many of them!! I am going through the same insanity, have a spouse that refuses all the red pills I’ve been trying to pass him (since the early 2000s when I assembled the lies of 9/11), amazed at the lack of critical thinking all around me... so glad to join your community. Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you for your intelligent, insightful, personal and heartfelt posts. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜 Sub stack writers like you, and all the other great ones, gives this community a chance to interact. So not only do you feel the comments are amazing, I do as well! And the writers and commenters have been an incredible support through a very difficult year. I never knew an online community could be an actual community until sub stack. 🙏
I’m considering halting my own SubStack writing as I find so much intelligent work already being published that I want to pass along. And I don’t have the time to devote to regular posts.

I don’t normally wear anything promotional, but as I’ve told a few friends, I’m now ecstatic to promote that I’m a Shrew! You’ve given the term a great reputation!
