This is a discussion thread, not just an article. So PLEASE comment, and continue this discussion for as long as we all want.
I would like to invite people to present movies (or just one) that they have watched that you think have a pertinent message relating to the situation we are now facing in the world.
Comment with the name of the movie, maybe a bit of a synopsis, and a general idea as to why you think it has some relevance to our current situation…virus, trans humanism, vaccines, Great Reset, world domination, etc.
I’ll start with a few. First, Demolition Man. This is one I saw a while ago, and although quite silly, when I watched it again I was surprised how so much was correlated with our current world. It was a bit uncanny actually, but I guess it is a no brainer that people have been thinking about this insanity for quite some time. I especially liked that the characters in the story were not allowed to curse, and how they were continually monitored and then issued a ticket if they uttered nasty, offensive, words. Chilling.
One I re-watched just last night was Surrogates. This one was also quite unsettling from a “trans human” perspective. Robotics had advanced to a point where people no longer interfaced with the world or with each other in their “meatbag” bodies but instead sent out a robot, a “surrogate”—prettier, stronger, etc. through which the “operator” could experience the world. The ensuing story was rather disappointing but was still intriguing, down to the huge groups of people who refused to go along with the “surrogate” world—shrews of the future!
Please join in and let us know some of your favourite movies!
Just watched “007; No time to die”. I believe it came out in 2017 or 2019. About nanotechnology being implanted in people through foods, those individuals could then be targeted for extermination by computers. And those with the implants could transfer the “kill switch” to others with the same DNA; potentially wiping out families, entire ethnic groups from a hug, a handshake. Hollywood’s warning message? Or a good laugh for the elite designers? Fantasy became reality in 2021.
Brave New World, 1984, Ordinary Man (Twilight Zone) Soylent Green, Escape from NY, The Borg (Star Trek), Matrix, Gattaca, Elysium.. kinda in chronological order are ones that come to my mind as SciFi movies that are coming true w/ the global authoritarian psychopaths we now have.
😂 had to do a little 🤔 & digging of my getting old memory banks:)
The hysteria over the C-19 shot awakened many to the cozy relationship between pharma and the US governmental regulatory agencies. This problem is nothing new.
The film, 1986TheAct documents the 1986 federal law that granted vaccine makers immunity from civil prosecution for any damage their products caused. It shows some of the disasters caused by the current vaccine program. ($10 -$12) https://1986theact.com/watch/
VAXXED shows how the CDC covered up a known connection between the MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) shot and autism. VAXXED II is more of that story – with videos of parents who detailed how their children were injured. https://vaxxedthemovie.com/watch/
I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Don't Look Up"...that's another one that is a reflection of our current "anti science, cell phone obsessed, nothing-important-means-anything-to-anyone culture"...
Also, what about the "Terminator" series...well, at least the first one, and maybe the second one. Certainly an interesting consequence of trans humanism...
"The Flight of the Phoenix" (The 1960s original, not the later remake disaster). The messages encapsulated here are many and diverse for managers and politicians everywhere. The themes of belief, innovative engineering, skill, adaption, faith, people management and sheer doggedness of spirit are present throughout.
The climax has you on the edge of your seat willing the engine to start knowing that there are only a few tries left - will they or won't they after all the extreme effort and trauma they have experienced.
Not a movie as to say but the TV show Black Mirror is pretty scary about what's to come in our not so distant future. Each episode can actually be considered as a stand alone TV movie. If you don't know it, I suggest it to you. Episode 2 "Five Million Merits" is really something we're tending to with social medias and its drifts to dystopia.
Recently I rewatched Eyes Wide Shut, available on the Internet Archive site, which was recommended as a true-enough rendition of the oligarchy's back room behaviours in the light of Jeffrey Epstein, etc. Having seen it when it came out, and having found it repulsive then, not believable in any way but more of a parable on decadence, and who knows how it would have ended if the director hadn't died? It's even more repulsive now, but/and has some relevance.
which is one of the most intelligent and beautiful films ever made IMHO. Its wikipedia description makes it sound like a weighty tome, when its painterly and sometimes cartoonish rendering integrates perfectly with the character's negotiation with consciousness and reality. Absolutely worth watching. Especially now.
"We Deal in Illusions" - Turn Off Your Television Sets
So, you listen to me. Listen to me! Television is not the truth. Television's a god-damned amusement park. Television is a circus, a carnival, a traveling troupe of acrobats, storytellers, dancers, singers, jugglers, sideshow freaks, lion tamers, and football players. We're in the boredom-killing business. So if you want the Truth, go to God! Go to your gurus. Go to yourselves! Because that's the only place you're ever gonna find any real truth. But, man, you're never gonna get any truth from us. We'll tell you anything you wanna hear. We lie like hell. We'll tell you that, uh, Kojak always gets the killer and that nobody ever gets cancer at Archie Bunker's house. And no matter how much trouble the hero is in, don't worry. Just look at your watch. At the end of the hour, he's gonna win. We'll tell you any s--t you want to hear.
We deal in illusions, man. None of it is true! But you people sit there day after day, night after night, all ages, colors, creeds. We're all you know. You're beginning to believe the illusions we're spinning here. You're beginning to think that the tube is reality and that your own lives are unreal. You do whatever the tube tells you. You dress like the tube, you eat like the tube, you raise your children like the tube. You even think like the tube. This is mass madness. You maniacs. In God's name, you people are the real thing. We are the illusion. So turn off your television sets. Turn them off now. Turn them off right now. Turn them off and leave them off. Turn them off right in the middle of this sentence I am speaking to you now. Turn them off!
NETWORK, Sidney Lumet, 1976 - The Tube Lies - YouTube
A couple of nights ago I watched the documentary Theaters Of War. It’s all about how Hollywood is in lockstep with US military industrial complex, submitting scripts for approval in return for stuff to blow up, for example. What it can’t cover are the numerous films that were never made because the DoD or CIA nixxed them. Anything that portrays the USA as murderous imperialists tends not to get very far. The film is available via Vimeo streaming
I watch the series, Handmaids Tale, which I believe is leftist propaganda about their fear of right-wing fascists taking over, creating a new world order. I need to go back and reread the book to get a full picture of how it all started. Perhaps others here have a better handle on its original plot.
For me it is One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest on many levels.
When McMurphy finds out most of the inmates are voluntary, mimics what has been happening to most people over the last 2 years we consent to everything that happens it is voluntary servitude.
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest - Committed - YouTube
Also medication time reminds me of the vaccination, when McMurphy asked what’s in the medicine I don’t like taking it if I don’t know what it is, then he subtly coerced, threatened to take it and succumbs.
When McMurphy asks to turn the music down Nurse Ratched says the music is for everyone ie the individual doesn’t matter it is for the greater good
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest Medication Scene (Hi Definition) - YouTube
The way Nurse Ratched keeps everyone in a state of fear and anxiety and constantly talks down to the patients, never trying to help them just keep them in their fearful state, similar to health experts who never talk about vitamin d, eating healthy etc but only about vaccines.
Anyone living in Melbourne will see the similarities between Nurse Ratched and Daniel Andrews the continual gaslighting and talking down to people and blaming people for the predicament they are in.
Movie Night!

1. They Live. Very 80's and corny but interesting. "Just put on the glasses!"
2. Westworld (series). Somebody already mentioned it.
3. The Mauritanian. Heavy, based on a true story. (war on terror)
4. The Card Counter. Heavy, based on a true story. (war on terror)
5. A Few Good Men. "You can't handle the truth!" has a new meaning these days.
6. Starship Troopers. Based on Heinlein. One of a handful of movies that criticizes the MIC.
7. Dune (2021). Based on Herbert. Energy wars in the Middle East.
8. Black Mirror. Somebody already mentioned it, but especially *Nosedive* and *15 Million Merits*
9. Electric Dreams. Especially *Safe and Sound* and *Kill All Others*.
10. Truman Show, Matrix and Vanilla Sky (all three deal with solipsism and/or transhumanism)
Bonus Track: *Upload* (Amazon show). Comic relief but interesting.
Some series here...
Westworld... It's got some of the best psychology and look into what consciousness is
The leftovers... It's what happens in society when things get a little crazy, like this convid nonsense

Hey Todd: Shrews will be interested to learn about Publicis Groupe and their founder Marcel Bleustein: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marcel_Bleustein-Blanchet
This international advertising group ties it all together. Mercola has done an incredible video about this: https://www.theburningplatform.com/2022/08/05/advertising-business-linked-to-deaths-and-greenwashing/
