Freedom is the ability to choose the right thing. The right thing is discernable through a well-formed conscience. Freedom should be accompanied by a strong sense of responsibility.

As for geoengineering, this was reported on my local news recently, admitting that it has been done here since the 1950's.

Freedom takes a huge amount of responsibility. One reason why many people do not really want it.

I am listening at work, perhaps I missed something.

We should be free to do whatever we like to do as long it's not restricts someone else's freedom. pedophilia is not freedom, it is perversion.

Going back to listen :)

Yeah, these conversations are off the cuff and there is no opportunity to word things precisely and accurately. I don't necessarily believe the "restrict someone else's freedom" to be the determining factor for "doing what you want." It is a complicated issue to describe accurately. If you listen to the rest of the podcast it MAY make more sense!! Thank you for listening!!

Regarding pedophilia, yes, I agree it is not a "freedom." But many pedophiliacs believe it IS an act of "freedom" to exercise their "desires." Look at what is happening with "minor attracted person"—a term making its way into mental health, implying that it is just another normal form of human behavior.

What I get into further into the discussion is that I believe we all possess an innate "knowingness" of what is right and wrong, within the context of material existence (i.e., it is wrong to murder, but right to defend self and family by killing). We have drifted away from this innate "knowingness" through our embrace of secularism, materialism, and consumerism—all forms of submission to the flesh...i.e., believing the material existence of body is superior to spiritual existence of soul. Big topic...!!!
