hey. how do y'all reconcile the music vs the rabid vaxxer musicians? ie. do you listen to the boss? rage? we've been debating this for a while. i was arguing that the music becomes separate from the musicians. once released. thus exempting it from the stain.....
When I was in college (we call it university in Canada) I ran across a book in the library called "The Marxist Minstrels" (https://www.amazon.com/Marxist-Minstrels-Handbook-Communist-Subversion/dp/B0006CPX8Q) ...It was about how Marxism, the Soviet Union in particular, had infiltrated the music biz and was promoting music and musicians that were communists...at least claiming their music was designed to poison the minds of American young people (I don't think the book presented the idea that Western music was ideologically communist and that is advocated communist ideals...but that it was decadent, but controlled by the Soviet Union to be decadent. I can't really remember....maybe not...anyway, I was utterly fascinated with this book)
....popular music has always been suspected of having some intentional nefarious effect on its listeners...the question is whether this effect is intentionally promoted by some dark controlling power or authority, or if it is just representing the failure of the culture. We can say the same about art...but "contemporary art" does not reach as many people as commercial "pop" music.
I wish that was possible. I no longer think it is. Have you ever seen a zombie movie where the non-zombies try to reason with a flesh eating zombie? Nope.
Good show as usual.
Thank you!

"when i was in seminary school (we call it epstein's island in america)"..........sorry. couldn't help myself.
It's an initial victory to not fall for the propaganda and to see evil for what it is. We just have to help others to see it too.
