It is TERRIBLY painful to see through the veils when most of the world cannot...it is probably one of the most damaging things we face psychologically—living in a world where we see the problems so clearly, and the majority is totally blind to it. That is crazy-making at its best.

The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the most manipulated infectious disease events in history, characterized by official lies in an unending stream lead by government bureaucracies, medical associations, medical boards, the media, and international agencies.
I can understand euthanasia under some circumstances, but is the demand in Canada really overwhelming? When I consider stopping the world to escape, escape to what, anywhere but here?
Stopping the world to escape is a metaphor. There are many ways to do that without killing yourself.
I am not a fan of MAiD. I agree with you under certain circumstances, but I do not believe it should be "state run"...and never for mental illness...NEVER
I’ve read that “being a burden to others” is a valid reason to access MAID
My friend in your area told me of another friend’s brother, whose younger wife convinced her older husband that he was old and miserable and needed to be relieved of the burden of life. He gave in and agreed. His sister was not allowed to talk to him about it and he died-by appointment
That's a new one...a younger wife convincing her older husband he should groak...saving her the turmoil...insurance??
Although I know this sounds hardcore, but I have very strong religious convictions about suicide, for any reason. Although constant pain is a problem...and I cannot say what I would or wouldn't do to relieve myself of pain. So I do not pass any sort of moral judgment here....
Most cases I am hearing about are not, IMHO, justified. And you know, I think most doctors had an "unsaid" attitude toward severe pain when treating a dying patient. I know they did with my dying wife, and she wasn't even in that much pain...a slow morphine drip, not enough to kill outright, but enough to relieve pain, and thus cause the body to go into a rather ethereal state and just "give up"...this has been going on for years...
My husband also had strong feelings about suicide. Not acceptable. But when he became disabled and began to feel worthless and that he no longer had any purpose or value, the thought entered his life. I told him that it was a temporary feeling and would go away, that the kids and I needed him, that he wouldn’t always feel useless. He got through it.
Dealing with constant pain myself, there are days when I think about it. Hoping that doesn’t become the only option. I remember how ineffectual the pain relief was when my mother was dying from ovarian cancer.
But the government doesn’t belong in that business
I think Trump is recognized as an existential threat by his opponents. That's a testament to Trump's effectiveness and helps explain the excesses of TDS.
I understand projection in the popular sense as imagining that others think like me. That kind of projection is often the best clue to what others are thinking and how they reason.
I also recall being sternly corrected by a psychology academic who informed me that the disciplined meaning of projection involves defense mechanisms. I consulted Perplexity.AI for a refreshing brief:
<<
The popular understanding of projection differs significantly from its technical psychological or psychiatric descriptions in several key ways:
1. Scope and definition:
In popular usage, projection is often understood simply as attributing one's own thoughts, feelings, or traits onto others[3]. However, in psychology and psychiatry, projection is defined more precisely as a defense mechanism where a person unconsciously attributes their own unacceptable thoughts, emotions, or impulses to someone else[3][5].
2. Unconscious vs. conscious process:
The technical definition emphasizes that projection is an unconscious process[3][5]. In contrast, the popular understanding may not distinguish between conscious and unconscious attribution of traits to others.
3. Defensive function:
Psychologically, projection serves as a defense mechanism to protect the ego from anxiety or distress caused by unacceptable impulses or feelings[3]. This defensive aspect is often missing from the popular conception, which may view projection more as a simple misattribution.
4. Complexity and nuance:
The psychological understanding of projection is more nuanced and complex than the popular view. It involves intricate psychological processes and can manifest in various ways, such as:
- Complementary projection: Attributing the opposite of one's own traits to others
- Neurotic projection: Misinterpreting or exaggerating others' behavior to align with one's own expectations
- Projective identification: Inducing others to actually exhibit the projected traits[5]
5. Clinical significance:
In psychiatry and clinical psychology, projection is considered a significant concept for understanding personality disorders, interpersonal dynamics, and psychopathology[5]. This clinical relevance is generally not part of the popular understanding.
6. Assessment and identification:
Psychologists and psychiatrists use specific techniques and criteria to identify and assess projection in clinical settings[5]. The popular understanding typically lacks these formal assessment methods.
7. Therapeutic implications:
In psychological treatment, recognizing and addressing projection can be an important part of therapy[5]. This therapeutic aspect is usually absent from the popular conception.
In summary, while the popular understanding of projection captures the basic idea of attributing one's own characteristics to others, it often lacks the depth, specificity, and clinical significance present in the technical psychological and psychiatric descriptions of this concept.
As a clinician and student, I have always had a bit of a difficult time with the concept of projection. I only apply it clinically if the projection is extreme and causes intense hate or even adoration. A causal projection, i.e., "I get a creepy vibe from that person," if unfounded, is a projection. But if someone doesn't like someone because they behave like an asshole, it is perception, not projection. At least that is how I typically deal with it clinically.
I'm curious to know what people mean when they say Trump is an existential threat. What makes him more of such than any other president? Isn't anyone who has the power to blow us all to smithereens an existential THREAT?
I view Trump as an existential threat to his political opponents because his policies disempower them and they'll starve or have to pursue an honest living, or at least, quit looting taxpayers. That's why TDS infects both the left and the never-Trump RINOs on the right. Trump is reforming the Republican party to better represent taxpayers, before Republicans allied with Democrats to loot taxpayers. It's a food fight.
The extent of the left's infiltration and subversion of the USA government is proclaimed by Mike Benz, e.g., at:
I'd heard that the forever-war crowd was using NATO to provoke Putin, but Benz brings the receipts in exposing USAID PsyOps. That explains why Trump shuttered USAID and gave Rubio supervision. No wonder they're trying to destroy Trump with lies, lawfare, and assassination.
Trump might survive because, unlike Lincoln and JFK, he's not moved to bypass the money power by issuing currency that disempowers the national bank. Trump is shifting financing from the progressive income tax of Marx's Communist Manifesto to tariffs, a throwback to traditional USA financing that might prove sufficient if growth is unleashed and government spending economized. One can hope, and dream.
This topic would be a very interesting follow up article or discussion. The role ( or illusion) of intuition relative to projection. On multiple occasions I have sensed a “creepy vibe “ initially without empirical evidence to back it up but ultimately shown to be true when facts unfolded . These experiences ( intuition ) mostly involved observation of others around my young children…..perhaps also a mother thing ?
Also really liked the one the other day at off Guardian "Deception, Trojan Horses, and the Carrot/Stick Combo" and linked that one on Saturday. Keep up the great work!!!
"...escalating cancer deaths, the breakdown of education, the disruptions in supply chains, the closing of small businesses, skyrocketing mental health crises like anxiety and depression, increased suicides and domestic violence, delayed medical treatments,,," etc., etc.
You've pretty much covered it all, Todd. And, you're so right. Yet, nearly everybody sees it as business as usual. As if it's happening organically. But, it isn't. Not at all. It's all being orchestrated.
I see Trump no differently. He, like any other agent in the global coup, is merely playing the role he has been assigned. The plot is so wide and deep, I had to get away from writing for awhile. (My health has improved!)
I'm glad you continue to write. We need your voice.
Todd, why do you think not many people find it useful? Sometimes when you plant a seed it takes right away and sometimes it takes a lot of sunshine and watering and sometimes it just doesn't take at all. In other words, you may be reaching more people than you think and for those who will never germinate, sadly, we can't worry about them. :)
130 paid subscribers find it useful. I have 2,600 free subscribers; maybe some of them find it useful, but I have my doubts that many actually subscribe (I have many reasons to believe most are fake). I would say maybe 100 more (just guessing) actually care about the Substack. Very few have bought my book after spending thousands to market and promote it. It was advertised on Off-Guardian, which supposedly has hundreds of thousands of readers.
My way of saying things does appeal to a handful, and you and all of them are definitely the only reason I write. But I am not sure if it is worth the effort, time, and aggravation if so few are "into it"...sorry...I know that sounds ungracious. My sticking with it for so long should show how gracious I actually am.
Unfortunately, I am retiring (not fully) from my main income...I need to supplement my income with my writing. If I had about twice as many paid subscribers (200-250), I would have no problem swinging it. That is not much to ask for, but I don't think it is going to happen.
I can hear your disappointment and frustration Todd. You have to do what is best for you. I think that even us shrews are bombarded with so much info and read other great substack writers that we just can't pay for every one we like. I have suggested in the past to other writers to lower the price or have a promotion so that more people can join and hopefully that may mean more income at the end of a year. I wish you all the best and hope that you can and will continue to write. :)
I don't think Substack will let me lower the subscription price any more than it already is...maybe down to $50...I will have to check. I have offered free promotions several times...I have offered, "First five emails I get from free subscribers, I will give a free paid subscription"...only three responded, which makes me wonder if many of the free folks are real.
I understand if people just don't have the money...but there are ARE hundreds of very successful Substacks (monetarily), like I said, I would only need only about 200 paid (I have half that now) to make this viable...
Time to consider a completely different career, Todd. This is your opportunity to go in a new direction entirely. You’ll find it extremely rewarding and a complete renewal. But please do continue to write when you can. I read everybody’s everything but you’re the only person I pay, I enjoy your thoughts and everybody’s comments that much!
That's unfortunate. It's part of the reason I stopped writing, too. I have so many family members and friends who think I'm "half nuts". I'm up in age, and my goal was to wake up more people... especially the younger folks (i.e. the ones who will ultimately be taking the brunt of the "reset"). The vast majority of the youngsters argue against me, or roll their eyes, or tell me I'm "stuck in my ways." A young guy I work with thinks all old people are obsolete. Anyways, I figure if that's how they feel, and they're the ones who have the most to lose... why should I bother? Researching/writing on such a grim subject takes a toll on the soul and the spirit. I've thought about taking a different tack on it: to simply mock what I see. That was my original intent (hence, the name Opportunity Mocks). Doing so might even be cathartic. Instead of them laughing at me, I'll laugh at them. Something I'll ponder.
Whatever you decide, Todd, know that your words and wisdom have been appreciated.
Funny how in the past - when we were young - we looked up to our elders, and wished one day we would have some of their wisdom. Today, the majority of young people think that older people are obsolete. Sad...
Yes, sad for sure. The young guy I mentioned (in my previous comment) had just served a customer. As the customer left, the guy (my co-worker) rolled his eyes. I asked him why. He shrugged and said, "Oh, just another old person trying to remain relevant."
I decided he wasn't worth any reasoned response, so I just let it go. But, that's what we're up against. Oh, well. It'll be their loss.
Josh, like Ivan says we used to look up to our elders. These days they are more willing to book a maid session for us. This is all part of the agenda, I believe.
Well, a while back I would have said "I hate to say it, but that is true"...now I will leave the "hate to say it" part because it is so obvious there is no reluctance to say. It IS part of the agenda, a very big part.
Those are very kind words coming from you. I see a lot of young people (anyone under 50 or so), and the younger they are, the less they even think about what is going on in the world. And yes, they do all think anyone over 50 is obsolete (remember the "don't trust anyone over 30" during the '60s?)
I just turned 70. And believe me, if I weren't married to a super sheep, I'd be outta here...I may take a year or two making all the "freedom fighter" conferences and such, but after that I think I would settle somewhere, throw out the cell phone, the computer, and the wifi, and just lay on the beach or something...until God says I've had enough...
I hear you regarding the "why the hell are we doing this"...not sure why, myself. But I keep doing it...it does help ME, and I think a few of you out there get something important from it.
I had no idea you were 70. In the videos I've seen you in (podcasts), I figured you were 50-ish. You must be doing something right! Keep it up.
One other point: Even many of the older folks I speak with are brainwashed. Proportionally, much less so than amongst the younger set. But, still... way too many are asleep; you'd think the "mature" citizens would have better sense. It's a mixed-up world.
I think the only thing I do "right" is arrogantly avoid doctors, avoid meds, avoid sunscreen, avoid dark glasses, etc. NOT because I am health conscious, god forbid, but because I am LAZY.
The doctor avoidance is only because I hate to go; at least that is how it used to be for most of my life. Now I feel like I would be better off seeing my dog as my doctor than these idiots I have to see (sorry, doctors out there, you aren't ALL whacked).
The mature sheep are deeply brainwashed from childhood. The young sheep are just so oblivious to anything that has any meaning; they can't see a damn thing. There is a difference. The agenda had to work hard on us...with their wicked schooling, media bombardment, etc. They don't have to work as hard on the young ones...everything is so deeply in place...consumerism as the new God, cell phones, drugs (yes, POT included), porn, a secular lifestyle....money, money, money...piece of cake...
Why oh why did you have to step into a subject about which you are woefully ill informed? A casual reference you likely didn't think twice about, but it's completely careless to toss around the word genocide. I'm not here to litigate the Middle East -- for me it's on par with litigating the scamdemic with true believers. I could do it all day but it wouldn't move the needle. Perhaps you mean well, like the maskers who thought they were protecting others, but I have no more time or patience for those in the medical freedom movement who saw through that BS but buy into the MSM narrative fuelling the world's oldest hatred.
I will always give you credit for being a port in the storm and I have enjoyed getting to know you through your writing. You have a good heart but that's not enough for me at this juncture. I wish you and the shrew crew all the best, but I'm out.
"the medical freedom movement who saw through that BS but buy into the MSM narrative fueling the world's oldest hatred."
That's because there is not medical freedom movement... I know... I was surprised and saddened as well.... they are paid actors and have bee put in front of us.....
I am very, very, very sorry to hear this. You have been such a wonderful contributor...I also look forward to your comments.
It saddens me that you would respond this way; it seems rather narrow-minded that you would take such issue with a mention of a word that could apply to both sides of the conflict in the Middle East. This is the dictionary definition of genocide: "the deliberate and systematic extermination of a national, racial, political, or cultural group." The Israeli government certainly has the means to accomplish this in Gaza, but the Palestinians (at least the terrorist faction there) certainly can have genocidal intentions with Israel (and I believe they do). Why take issue with this comment? Do you think war in any context is justifiable to the extent that killing thousands of people is okay? If you want to part with this Substack because you think the writer (me) is daft and "ill informed" because he believes killing of this nature is NOT ok...then fine, good bye.
I am not sure what else to say...this saddens me greatly.
It astounds me that anyone would not see what is going on in Israel as a heinous atrocity, I don't care which "side" they take. Call it whatever word has the most impact to stop it, genocide, whatever. It has got to stop.
Excellent article, as usual, Todd. I really don't think there is a genocide ocurring in Gaza - although as you say, there is certainly the intention. Agree that there are too many people dying, and that is a disgrace. I don't think that I will stop reading your Substack just because you mentioned that word.
Since I am so ill-informed, could you share your insight on why you don't think there is a genocide going on in Gaza? I am not being flippant...any other insights I have heard simply focus on the "justification" of Israel doing what they are doing...which seems to make it "necessary"...genocide is the intentional annihilation of a national, racial, religious, etc. group. How is what is going on not fit that description? I added the word "intentional." If it is not intentional...do you believe it is defense?....??
Seriously, I am curious to know why you, or anyone else, does not see this as genocide? I know there are many that do not; I have many close friends who do not see it as genocide. I am not hardcore on this; to tell you the truth, I don't really care what label people want to put on it...I'm fine with my "woefully ill-informed" self becoming informed...and maybe I will stop using that word. I really don't care. What I will NOT back down on is that this killing is wrong; I don't care how justified it might be, it is wrong. And it should stop.
I know enough about human nature to know that is unlikely, and I know enough about the agenda to know the "human nature" part of it is fabricated and manipulated into affect by the agenda.
Todd. I think it is just a matter of semantics and "definition". You wrote the dictionary definition of genocide above... I don't think I am necessarily "better-informed" than you are about the subject. My opinion is very-very far from being in any way that of an "expert". It is just that although there are certainly too many people unnecessarily and disgracefully dying, I don't see any sector of the population being "systematically decimated" to conform to my "maybe-ill-informed" conception of what is a genocide. In my mind, it has nothing to do with justification or not. I would not be offended if anyone proves me wrong with some hard data. Like our friend above, I am inclined to think that the term "genocide" tends to be overused nowadays; but again, I will not quit reading you just because you "dared" to use the word. Gimme a break...
First of all, thank you for that. I don't quite understand why it had that horrible effect.
Of course, it would be very difficult to "prove" a genocide. Most people claiming that is what is happening are met with "of course that isn't what we are doing!!" from the Israeli officials side of it. No one would ever CLAIM they are "systematically trying to destroy a culture, religion, etc."
But when you really evaluate what is actually happening over there, unless all of the media coverage we get is TOTALLY made up, then what else is it? Like I said, I am fine not using that word to describe what is happening; I don't think it is necessary to use it to show that what is happening is atrocious in every regard.
Todd, your words - "defiance of norms" (re Trump). Think of the hate and condemnation of those of us who bucked at the covid propaganda. The same ones who wished us evil things are often the same wishing Trump and his team evil things.
The media are bought and mouth the status quo view of Trump over and over and they can always find an 'expert' or willing citizen or non-citizen to prove their point. Remember the covid hysteria. Of course, we can not forget that.
Something has taken over their minds (music, tv programming, mainstream news dribble). MKULTRA?? It really disturbs me that so many seem to have NO clue regarding the many deaths and ailments that people are facing. It is like their brain has switched off; but their over-reaction to Trump and crew are on high alert. I've said it before -- he could find a simple cure to some debilitating disease and they would trash him. Honestly, we are in a messed up drama and I can't see a solution. And more craziness as NS premier fining people for walking into the woods, even their own. Can sanity ever return?
You are right on here...your comment, "It really disturbs me that so many seem to have NO clue regarding the many deaths and ailments that people are facing. It is like their brain has switched off; but their over-reaction to Trump and crew are on high alert." Is exactly what this article is about...

It’s a slippery slope
Yes, agree with all you say here, particularly the last line...

Recalls https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Roboo6mls-g (that I recently concluded viewing). Thanks for that suggestion. I forgot the bit about projection of the shadow.

I also recall the adage: if someone hands you their garbage, graciously decline their 'gift', e.g., thanks, but no thanks.
The extent of the left's infiltration and subversion of the USA government is proclaimed by Mike Benz, e.g., at:
https://rumble.com/v2xy2su-a.i.-and-the-death-star-of-censorship.-mike-benz-with-sebastian-gorka-on-am.html
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XPPc8OVNngg
Should add that my initial observations ( concerns) got me in trouble with folks close to me…….ultimately I was never wrong
Very insightful read as usual Todd. Linking today @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/
Also really liked the one the other day at off Guardian "Deception, Trojan Horses, and the Carrot/Stick Combo" and linked that one on Saturday. Keep up the great work!!!
Thanks so much!!
Absolutely agree ! Various US agencies have “come clean “ re all of the earlier Covid lies ……still no outrage !
I'm with you. The world is gone bat shit crazy. Like calling the vaccine injured shooter at the CDC an anti-vaxer!
Irony at its apex.
Thank you.
Not sure how much longer I'll be doing this. It doesn't seem that many people find it useful.
My "completely different career" is writing, this is what I want to do, but it does have to have some sort of monetary return, not a lot, but some.
Sad...
Yes, it is very sad...but they will pay for it...not a nice thing to say, but it is inevitable they will not learn wisdom.
WOW...that is harsh!!!
I miss the 80's. Ignorance is bliss, I guess.
Take care. :^)
WOW!!! How sweet is that??? Thank you!
And, then, some of them are just stupid. If it comes on our state broadcaster, the CBC, then "it MUST be true!" Never mind logic.
As for doctors, my new doctor is my immune system. I live my life to optimize it. I've been getting healthier every month since I started.
Thoughts and prayers for the dead and dying

What is the "world's oldest hatred"?
Not sure.... that was a quote from the Canadasceptic comment I responded to....
I know...I wondered if you knew what it was.
hating the jews of course
Propaganda? Not sure...
That is the point. What is happening is terrible, no matter what we call it. But, returning to the point of your article, it is Trumps fault!!! (LOL).
Back to form!
What do you mean?
