Of course, the election in the US will be over once this is published, so I cannot refer to either Trump or Harris as active candidates for the role of POTUS, as one of them will have now been elected to that post—unless, of course, we were attacked by aliens directly before, or immediately after, the election.
Demo’rats…”OWN” this phenomenen! “HTS”, a terminal illness, & political conundrum! Do NOT, “Hate Trump”…He is America’s political savior! Thank You God!
I too have lost close "friends" these past 4 or 5 years now. They said they hate me because I'm not all in for the Dems. But they are starting to thaw a little now that the selection is over. I'm so so happy that RFK JR is going to head the HHS!
I don’t think people who will hate you because you vote for a different candidate were ever really “friends”. That being said it’s my opinion we are witnessing mental illness on a massive scale, I really can’t explain such rabid behavior any other way
Fear is a force multiplier of hate. If I were a humanist I too would be fearful. It's not what we can do but what can be done through us. Courage is the great neutralizer of fear. Hate is too easy. It requires no action. Courage is a call to action.
The word 'hate' comes from the deepest part of a person, most likely at the cell level and most likely affects every cell which is not a good thing. I believe emotions play a big part of physical illness. Your article here Todd does seem to show that those who hate Trump can do so very easily whereas less people 'hate' Harris but definitely didn't want her to be President. I look at our own politicians here in Canada and so often I say, "I don't like to use the word hate but man are they ever pushing me to the edge". But I still won't use the word as I believe it has a boomerang effect. :) Sorry about your friends bailing on your friendship. It's a crazy time.
Agreed. I think most people that use the word "hate" do not mean it in the context I am presenting here. But when it comes to Trump (saying they "hate" Trump) I DO believe these people mean it...true HATE.
As I said, I agree you don't have to HATE Harris to not want her to be president...maybe there is more reason to hate her than Trump, if she really is as evil as she could be (with the war, the trans issue with kids, ending free speech, etc). But personally I would not HATE someone for those things...but that's just me...I don't use that word lightly.

Nice they are starting to thaw. The friends who have rejected me for political reasons will hate me forever...

Very well put. I think hate comes from fear, or from vengeance, which is a sophisticated act of fear. And yes, hate it too easy.
Agree. Wholeheartedly
Thank you...

My husband often says, hate is such a strong word when really dislike is a softer approach to something or someone that we don't like. I agree.
Same here.
