The Water Horse is one of my favorites

I recently watched a movie with my wife. I'm not a Hollywood sort of Fox, 21st-Century or other. Especially nothing of note this millennium. But on a quite night in I suspended my tendency to talk back to anything on the screen whenever someone has the temerity to put the TV on in the house and sat with my lady.

I don't know how or where she had heard of it, she doesn't remember either, but when the film came up as a Tubi choice she said she heard something good about it. And roped me in.

I saw the cast and producer, not a lot of people I think highly of, in fact, many I pretty much loathe, think of as part of the evil, pedophile, eugenicist cabal. Meryl Streep, Katie Holmes, Taylor Swift, Jeff Bridges, and produced by Harvey Weinstein. Not my crew.

Yet, there I sat. And I have to say, I was glad I did. It was what I consider to be a portrayal of what I believe these same people and those behind them want, desire for the rest of us. Which seems odd to me. Given that the takeaway from the movie is that we should NOT want that as our future. Yet, it's, to my understanding, clearly what these evil, pedophile, eugenicist cabalites want for us.

An odd juxtaposition for me to reconcile, same people who desire a dystopian outcome portraying that outcome as dystopian.

Which can only be reconciled, in my mind, as classic Revelation of Method. A Satanic prerequisite where we must be told the agendas and then choose willingly to agree to go along with it. Their hands and consciences clear, they did their part, we chose to ignore. Or do we?

Also fits under the Predictive Programming theory of things. Putting a possible future out into the broad public mind, even darkly, the fact that it can then be perceived makes it more likely to occur; possibility must exist before reality.

Anyhow, here's the wiki (yuck, I know) summary of it. Available on free cable services like Tubi:

Again, the Revelation of Method isn't a fait accompli. It is a warning. We can choose to heed it, or ignore it. Is up to us, free choice and all.

When one gives up their curiosity, we indeed lose the battle. Linking today @https://nothingnewunderthesun2016.com/

The lack of curiosity is rampant today. And you can't teach anyone anything if they aren't curious.

The ubiquitous response of "Whatever" has replaced intelligent conversation. I once asked my niece what she thought of the wisdom literature, and her answer was "pretentious". The dumbing down is accelerating every year.

Reading your post Todd, I jotted down some thoughts about this. Today more than ever, people focus on 'experts', 'science', 'safe and effective', 'mis/dis information' and on it goes. They are not stopping to 'think' for themselves but have passed on the analyzing part to others who they feel know best. Big mistake.

Whoever has the most money to convey their message - wins and we know how that has gone and is still going. Way too many believe in institutions, mainstream media, and the government. Another mistake.

As for the death of curiosity - many people claim they are just too busy to contend with the possibilities and I get it. It is perfectly designed. When you are working and raising a family and running around to events/sports/etc - one doesn't have a lot of time to delve into what is true and what isn't. It is left to the people 'in the know'. Another pitfall.

I think "Man's Search for Meaning" should be mandatory reading for anyone today.

"One of the gravest weaknesses of human civilization is its crippling and unaccountable bent toward social coercion. This form of oppression disparages courage and curiosity inside the very arenas where they are most sorely needed."

We know the truth. It is very bad. Our representatives are in on it and will do nothing to change it. Many of our friends are benefitting from the corruption. They want things to stay the same.
