Since 2020, or maybe even before that, one of my central mottos has been “choose the lesser of two evils if you have to” or maybe even “choose the lesser of many evils.”
Well, in my humble defense I will say I am indeed "aware" of all that you have said here. And at this very moment in time, I am more apt to believe very deeply that the electoral process is entirely fabricated and manipulated.
BUT...there is a part of me that at times just can't fully accept the depth of this rabbit hole, and I will occasionally write from different levels of it. Such as here and there an article that would not make sense if one reading it did not believe in the germ theory where viruses and contagious pathogens actually existed.
This article is like that. It is written from a level down the hole where electing a president is actually viable, and one candidate could actually be better for the country than the other...I certainly believed, at one time at least, that RFK, Jr could save the country. Now I am not so sure of even that.
Regarding Operation Warp Speed and pushing the vaccine...IF I am looking at all this from the level in the hole where Trump COULD be useful as president, I would say he was mislead during that time (I have mentioned this before). But who knows.
I have no beef with people who say right and left are two wings of the same bird. Like I said, some days I am right there with them (like today). BUT, if you are going to vote, I think it is more likely that Trump will not continue the fighting in Europe nor the Middle East (but that assumption could easily be shot down) and I think for RFKJ to join ranks with DT means he knows something I don't know. At any rate, no matter what any of us think, I believe Trump as POTUS would surely be more interesting!!
OK, I understand your point about the levels in the rabbit hole, my dear "doctor Doom"...
But I still think that rignt and left are the two wings of the same bird. Maybe a century or more ago they were not, but at least through the last 5 decades they clearly are. Well, at least for me and some folks around...
Returning to DT, when they "stole" from him the (s)elections last time, I wondered if that was a tactic to make him appear as a victim and, therefore, assure his victory 4 years later.
Now, I'm pretty sure about that.
And yes, I'm responding to your comment 3 months later and I apologize: I had some trouble with my phone (specially with some apps, luke Substack) and been very, very busy, too.
But it is always a pleasure to read you again. Blessings.
Not sure when exactly you replied to this, but I just now ran across it (Jan 1, 2025).
What a difference a day makes (or three months for that matter). I do think I am on a slightly different page than I was when I wrote this article. Maybe I am a victim of hope…and just can’t imagine a situation without it.
As the novel and excitement of the election wears off, I find myself a bit more apprehensive than during the throes of it all. I still believe in RFKJ, and Tulsi Gabbard, and a few others of Trump’s team, but even they may have holes.
I do believe (didn’t I always?) that the right and left are “two wings of the same bird”…and there are indeed some “telling signs” of manipulation with the whole Trump ordeal…the “stolen election” the “assassination attempts” among the most obvious.
I HAVE gone on record saying that the election was possibly an example of the old “witch test”…dumping a suspected witch into a well, and if she drowned, she was not a witch, boo boo, but if she lived, it proved she was indeed a witch…”walk her to the fire pit, boys.” So if Trump lost the election, he was not the choice of the Deep State, but if he won, he WAS their choice. He won.
I’ve written about this several times…but all before the election. So where am I now that he didn’t drown in the well? Time will tell.
Well I don’t think he’ll save us from anything. And he’s responsible for the injections, lockups, spending to the moon. He dismantles the country at a slower speed than Dems who light everything on fire. So I guess he’s our guy even though he’s responsible for poisoning 80% of the population.
Someone who knows more about this should chime in, but I am more with Mark below, who says Trump was seriously misled. I know ultimately that is no real excuse. Trump may be brilliant in some areas but is a bit of a dope in others (like they all are, of course.) He depended on a lot of evil people for advice. Now, I don't know where his stance is now on the Covid vaccine... Does anyone out there know this?
To me it seems obvious that it takes more than a few months to develop an injection that will be rolled out to the world. It strikes me as simple common sense. So it’s a big clown world that we are here.
Yes, of course it is obvious. People that don't see this are a bit whacked at best...
All I want is no war in the world. Can't guarantee Trump won't fall into the agenda in that regard as well. We KNOW Harris will. I'm hoping that RFK Jr. knows something we don't about Trump.
As I have said before, I am not a real Trump fan on many counts. But considering what we are up for, he seems the best choice...
You are right. He liked the concept of warp speed development of injections. He wanted desperately to be the hero of the pandemic. But I also believe that he was seriously misled. His own inclination was to advocate for hydroxychoroquine. His was against lockdowns and stifling the economy. He depended too much on following the scientific advisors around him because he trusted them as men of science. I think that he has learned his lesson and is unlikely to repeat the same mistakes. He will not run again if elected so he has more freedom from his critics who drag him through the mainstream media. He tried to bring in change in his first presidency but he lacked experience with how entrenched the deep state is throughout government. His eyes have been opened and now he seeks the help and support of RFK Jr. and Elon Musk as advisors. We have only three choices, Trump, Harris, or not voting. Not voting will not prevent one of the other two ascendancy to the highest office in the country. Like it or not, it is our reality.
They select the president they need. Trump was selected to wage no war in the world, but to wage war against the whole world with its destruction by a so called virus. He should have read the International Health Regulations (2005), which are all about keeping the borders open in a publich health emergency of international concern, rather than about closing the borders and locking people up. It is all written. If he is a dumb-dumb who cannot read, then it would be better not to be a president. That being said I am terribly afraid of the agenda they want to roll out they need Kamala Harris for.
I really wonder sometimes what is wrong with the memory of North Americans. They seem utterly incapable of looking at someone's track record with any accuracy whatsoever. They seem to be blinded by Cults of celebrity and innuendo. If the state bought media says person X caused inflation and unemployment, and all the evidence collected historically points in the other direction, North Americans are just too bloody lazy to look anything up. If anyone is actually interested in what either of the two candidates managed to achieve during their respective terms, it's all there, just not in the state bought media. For those who can't stand Trump, but haven't bothered to look at his record, and haven't bothered to listen to anything the man is saying now, there is a marvelous book written by Victor Davis Hansen a military historian, outlining what he did. Anyone who reads this book, and checks the sources, and compares that administration's policies with the mind numbingly degenerate and destructive policies of the current Administration, should have no trouble making a choice. From what I understand many figures in history were on a personal level quite disgusting, but they managed to achieve amazing things for large groups of citizens. Yes, some of them were overbearing jackasses too, and very often their policies improved over time with the learning curve that goes along with becoming a mature ruler, and their marks became engraved deeply into history.
I am so with you on this. I just don't get it. I had a "friend" recently tell me I was a complete idiot for supporting Trump when it was so obvious that Harris is a better candidate. I said, "Tell me why you say this, what has Trump actually done that you disagree with, and what has Harris actually done that you support. All he could say was that Trump lied about Kamala being a Marxist, and lied about her being confused whether she was black or Indian. Obviously he doesn't know anything of any importance about either candidate.
Since all the candidates and the entire U.S. Congress are actively supporting genocide, is there really any choice??? And Trump still stands behind the vax, which has killed or disabled millions of innocent people. It's all a depopulation agenda and they all support WW3 which has already begun. The media set up the different "sides", it's all an illusion to think your vote means anything. I will not cast my vote for murderers from either "party", all controlled by Zionist Israel.
I agree however my line in the sand is the kids. Anyone who thinks the state/schools knows what’s best for kids over their parents and openly believes the trans agenda is right is an existential threat to humanity.
It's designed that way!!! And Trump is one of them. It really doesn't matter, because their desired chaos will happen no matter who "wins". It's the old divide and conquer and "order our of chaos". The media has everyone hating and fearing if their chosen one is defeated, civil war is coming and the migrants will plat a prominent part in it. Wait till they are placed in our homes, like the enemies of the people occupied civilians homes during the revolutionary war, same playbook.
I'm canning grape juice today to keep my sanity!!!
To not vote is the cowards way out. You are giving up your opportunity to be heard. If you do not vote, you are making a choice.you are deciding to let other people choose for you. Not voting is not a form of protest. It is a spineless choice. I sincerely hoped that RFK jr would have a chance, but politics is dirty business and they used every dirty trick in the book to sabotage his chances for a fair opportunity. I agree with him that Trump, despite the fact that I loath him as a person is the only choice. Voting for Harris is voting for four more years of suppression of free speech, more pandemics, more vaccines, more lockdowns, less personal freedom. She has the Hollywood elites behind her, the mainstream media, big tech, billionaire donors, and the like. Harris supporters control 70% of the wealth in the US while Trump supporters control 30% . Harris, She cannot speak extemporaneously, does not give news conferences, and can only talk when given the script. She is an actor, a hollow person, someone who will be easily controlled by her handlers. That is why I will vote for Trump even though I would never be his friend.
Since I am a woman, I have always felt an added responsibility to vote. However, I find most governments, no matter who is in power, now beholden to global entities, presently leading us to totalitarianism; so I am becoming an anarchist in my old age!... and coming across some interesting people, including Élisée Reclus (1830-1905) and his reasons not to vote:
"To vote is to abdicate; to appoint one or more masters for a short or long period is to renounce one’s own sovereignty. ...
To vote is to be fooled; it is to believe that men like you will suddenly acquire, at the ringing of a bell, the virtue of knowing and understanding everything. ...
To vote is to evoke treason. Without doubt, voters believe in the honesty of those to whom they grant their votes – and perhaps they are right on the first day, when the candidates are still in the fervour of first love. ...
Do not therefore abdicate, do not therefore entrust your destinies to men who are necessarily incapable and to future traitors. Do not vote! Instead of entrusting your interests to others, defend them yourselves; instead of hiring lawyers to propose a future course of action, act! Opportunities are not lacking for men of good will. To reject the responsibility for one’s conduct on others is to lack courage.”
I only wish I was younger and could be a "physical warrior" instead of a "peaceful warrior"...
At times, more often now than before, I realize that the electoral process is totally dysfunctional and to participate in it is participating in just what the agenda wants us to participate in. So yes, back into the shrew cave...
Spot on, Todd! The propaganda the mainstream have done on Trump is like spoon-feeding a baby. Some people will actually repeat verbatim what they hear on CTV/CNN etc. As a Canadian, I don't get to vote but I'm really praying K Harris does not get the role of the President. If we think it is bad now, just watch the spiral out-of-control it will come to be, then. And yes, I wish Trump would stick to policy instead of trying to poke 'them' in the eye with his remarks. It just fuels their propaganda against him.
Another great article, Todd, and thank you! I admire Trump for many reasons and sadly his accomplishments are rarely mentioned by the mainstream media, they would much rather focus on a decades old coarse comment. But what I most admire is Trump says what a majority of the people are thinking and let the chips fall where they may. And despite being ridiculed and demonized, in the end he is repeatedly found to be correct in his statements. I understand that a lot of folks are choosing not to vote this election but I cannot sit this one out
I personally, as I say in the article, feel "sitting this one out" is the best move...although I do believe there is a very strong possibility that no candidate is going to do anything all that positive in office. They may all be part of the agenda.
Totally agree with you. I find it weird that people view elections as if they were a Miss Congeniality contest. Surely one votes for policies, not personalities.
Trump= Operation Warp Speed. Did you forget it?
Roosevelt= "Presidents are selected, not elected"
Left and Right, Democrats and Republicans, are both arms of the same body commanded by the same head. Remember Gore Vidal?
Do you really think Trump is going to change something???
My dear friend, I thought you were perfectly aware of all these "details"...!!!
Well, in my humble defense I will say I am indeed "aware" of all that you have said here. And at this very moment in time, I am more apt to believe very deeply that the electoral process is entirely fabricated and manipulated.
