A while back I read a book by David Kelley titled The Evidence of the Senses. Kelley is an objectivist, a group of non-believers whose “God” was Ayn Rand and her voluminous writings about individualism, anti-communism, anti-religion and objective, cause and effect reality. Although I admire Rand’s writing, and even some of her philosophy, I am not much of a fan of objectivism.

I suppose my thesis here is a tad related, but I will not attempt to match Kelley’s academic approach. These atheists are really good at presenting a theory, or what they perceive as objective fact, using their superior academic prowess. Us spiritual and religious folks just say, “whatever, I just know what I know, I don’t have to prove it.” That really pisses them off. If you haven’t already done so, just try saying that to an atheist, and see them fume.
