It seems to me that sheep are rather rigid about most things—not just the things that are common to all of them, but other things in their personal lives as well. They appear to be rather dogmatic. To classify a belief as “dogmatic” it typically has to be rather rigid, and impervious to most critical thinking. That’s about all it requires. It doesn’t have to be rational, or require much logic behind it. Dogmatic belief systems run rampant in our world. Almost every sort of “belief system” has its dogma, and its prime directive is to get as many people as possible to believe in its dogma and not the dogma of some other system.
How often, if ever, have you heard a commercial say, “try our new product that washes windows, but you could always try Brand B that does the same thing just as well, only differently. So who cares what brand you use, it all comes out the same.” Nope, don’t think so.
