Common Sense

I was thinking the other day about how seldom we rely on common sense. We have been so indoctrinated to believe what the “experts” tell us to believe, we seem to completely bypass our initial common sense response to something. It is more often than not we reject a common sense response if that response contradicts the wisdom of the “ones who should know.” And who are these people who know? Well, it could be anyone, and I don’t think we are stupid to listen to people who are learned, educated, and have dedicated their lives to a particular subject. But when what they say flies in the face of our initial “common sense” response to something, we should at least give it more than a fleeting thought.
